RoyalPet.app is a service that creates AI-generated Renaissance-style portraits of pets. The service is offered by RoyalPet, established in the Netherlands. For privacy questions you can contact us at support@royalpet.app.

2. What data do we collect?

• Email address — when downloading your portrait or placing an order
• Photo of your pet — to generate the Renaissance portrait
• Shipping address and phone number — only for print/canvas orders, collected via Stripe
• IP address — for security and abuse prevention (rate limiting)
• Cookies — functional cookies for usage limits and email linking
• Payment details — processed by Stripe; we do not store card details

3. What do we use your data for?

• Generating and delivering your portrait
• Processing payments and orders
• Sending order confirmations and status updates by email
• Preventing abuse of the service
• Improving our service (anonymous statistics)

4. Cookies

We use the following cookies:

• rp_usage — functional, keeps track of how many free generations you have used (valid for 30 days)
• Google Analytics (_ga, _gid) — analytical, helps us understand how visitors use the site

You can block cookies through your browser settings. Functional cookies are necessary for the service to work correctly.

5. Third parties

We share your data with the following service providers:

• Stripe — payment processing (PCI-DSS certified)
• Supabase — database and file storage (EU servers)
• Replicate — AI portrait generation
• Resend — email delivery
• Vercel — hosting
• Google Analytics — website analytics

6. Retention periods

• Unpaid portraits and their files are automatically deleted after 30 days
• Paid portraits are kept for as long as necessary to provide the service
• Order data is kept in line with the statutory retention obligation (7 years)

7. Your rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to:

• Access — which data we hold about you
• Rectification — have incorrect data corrected
• Erasure — have your data deleted
• Restriction — restrict the processing of your data
• Portability — receive your data in a common format
• Objection — object to the processing

8. Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure storage, and limited access to personal data.

Do you have a complaint about how we handle your data? Please contact us at support@royalpet.app. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

10. Changes

We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy. The most recent version is always available on this page. In the event of significant changes we will inform you by email.
